    Free COM port on E7/E4

Post by MarcoPhx on Fri Dec 30, 2011 4:24 pm

    Hello,
I need know if are available (on internal connector) one or more serial port, at 3,3 or 1,8 Vdc logic levels.
I mean other UART than those already connected to Gps, BlueTooth and Debug port.
If yes, how can be used by an Androd application ?

    Regards,
    Marc

You need to check the schematics of ODROID-E7 first.
As I remember UART3 and UART4 are available for user application.
Those ports are exposed on J4 connector.
    Check the Page-21 of schematics.

After hardware implementation, you need to check the kernel option of UARTs settings.

    Thank you,
I have enough info to order an E7 kit.
