There are 3 major NFC usages on the Android devices.

    1. Card(tag) reader mode
    2. Card emulation mode
    3. Peer to peer communication mode.

Please refer below link to know the NFC API.
    http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/nfc/index.html

When we perform the card emulation mode, we need a special USIM can support NFC.

We are trying to ship this board from 22nd of December.
Hardkernel will post a news of firm schedule soon.

To support ICS & Gingerbread at the same time, we need to update the internal firmware of NFC controller. But, when we developed this NFC board, we didn't consider the ICS.
But, suddenly ICS appeared and we have to delay the launching date.

I think we may need additional 2 months to make it.
    sorry about that.

    Hi Marc,

ICS = Ice Cream Sandwich or Android 4.0

    Thanks,
