I bought my Odroid-S and i paid shipping charges to HARDKERNEL.

I was waiting my item of course, but for my surprise instead of the item i got an advice : I MUST PAY 50 USD FOR SHIPPING.

So , the way is : Hardkernel cash you the shipping cost, but later use a service that will CASH YOU at destination .

I tried to contact Hardkernel several times, i sent them all the documentation explaining this, but they never accept to give me any kind of refund.

One more time this is the reason why these OPEN PROJECTS fail all the time. We can´t trust on these "independent companies", and this is the reason why most people will buy SONY, or SAMSUNG or whatever. Because the big companies are SERIOUS.

Btw my package come with missing parts: no charger, no USB host. They said they shipped now... now i will se if i don´t have to pay 50 USD more for getting this missing parts.

I need to advice to any potential buyer: wen buying from HARDKERNEL keep in mind that you will pay SHIPPING COST TWICE. To them and at home. You will spent about 80 USD only about shipping.

Of course this message will be deleted, even wen is the truth and i can proof any word i say. But this is not the only place were i will post it.

It was a pity: i joined this community, i bought a unit, i was making tests on the unit as you can see, i even make a difficult to find emulator available in my own servers, and what i get? Just a F.Yourself from Hardkernel.

Can you trust a company that do these kind of things to keep 50 USD? A Paypal dispute and claim was opened, because there was no way to get MY MONEY back.

A customer value for Hardkernel is less than 50 USD, keep this in mind: your value is less than 50 USD FOR THEM.

Full disappointing about this. I come here to be supporter for this project and now i am just a fraud victim.

Thanks Hardkernel! If i can´t recovery the 50 USD by Paypal, you can use the 50 USD to buy a pizza an eat something!

As you may know, the $50 problem was not caused by Hardkernel.
TNT(parcel delivery company) Uruguay and TNT Korea made this issue.

We are still talking to both side almost everyday and we will get a conclusion by this weekend.
I'll get back to you within couple of days.

BTW, we've started the Android based development board biz 3 years ago and we sold almost several thousands unit all over the world.
And this kind of shipping cost problem was not reported ever.

I was following the project since i heard about it. I love it because it is OPEN. I full know TNT COMPANY is quilty, i always say that. But i don´t choose TNT, you choose it. So , if there is a problem and the company acted bad, you are TNT´S customer not me.

Now imagine i paid the Odroid-S with a check, and the bank say check is not valid. What you will do? Deal with the bank?

What if i say: "Is not my problem, is KOREA BANK problem, i will research.. btw, i sent about 1000 checks before and i never got a problem" ??

You got my point? I want to be a supporter of this project, may be i came late. But i was planning to inject new life spreading the word, testing, even developing .I was very enthusiastic about all this and as i mention, i am FULL happy with my ODROID-S .

But TNT charging me 50 USD extra for something we already pay is NOT ACCEPTABLE. In fact, i DON´T WANT THE MONEY. It is just a principles .

I propose you something: don´t refund me, donate the 50 USD to any developer (ZODTTD for the PSX4DROID i.e.) of the ODROID-S community and send me the proof and i will close the PAYPAL case and will consider this finished.

Now you can see i don´t care about money. My lawyer is cashing me 100 USD a day right now acting against TNT , yes for these 50 USD, i am acting against TNT URUGUAY as well. You can do the same against TNT KOREA, the real guilty here is TNT SHIPPING COMPANY, not an uruguayan not a korean company: a company from NETHERLANDS . I got a lot of package every day and NEVER got a problem before (i will send you my ebay reputation by mp so you can see that)

So don´t refund me, but assume this 50 USD is something you need to refund , and refund it to the cause. Deal?

I understood what you're pointing.
If we get a bad response form TNT, we will refund $50 by early next week.
Additionally, If TNT also refund $50 to you in near future, you can also donate to open source developer.

BTW, please note that we already discontinue(end of line) the ODROID-S last year.

Believe me that in this history i feel there is 2 parts:

1- TNT .... GUILTY
2- HARDKERNEL... not GUILTY but RESPONSIBLE

There is a big diference. I understand you are not trying to scam me. What i feel is that you are not asuming responsibility on this as the seller and sender, and TNT´S customer.TNT yes, something inside them is scaming me, and the company is just let it pass. But SOMEONE there will know what the word CONSECUENCES means.

About TNT, i have a lawyer already working here and i am geting services from a local lawyer in Korea to go against TNT KOREA as well,i copied you my email to them so you know is true.

If you HARDKERNEL refund me the shipping charges and TNT refund this, what i will do is to send the money to YOU, because in this case the money is yours.

Man, i am full honest. Ask Pandora sales department. I bought 1 Pandora, they send me 2 units by mistake and I ADVICED them about the mistake and pay the second unit. You will not find nobody in the world returning 500 USD in a case that will not get consecuences.

Because i am this way, i want the same from every person i make deals in the world. You got my PM , you can see the kind of person i am.

Probably crazy for wasting hundreds in lawyers and other resoures just to recover 50. But i am sorry i can´t change my principles: i will get this 50 usd refund even if i need to spend 2000 to get it. (what probably is the budget the Koreans lawyer will send me tonight)

It is a pitty that you discountinued the ODROID-S. From all your line of products for me is the best. Because is more powerfull than the ODROID, but it has a GAME CONSOLE LOOK. The other ODROIDS.. T and 7, i only can see a tablet, i am sorry. I am a handheld consoles lover, so i love the ODROID-S because IT IS in fact a handheld console.

I am amazed about emulation captabilities. N64 full speed, PSX full speed (even Parasite Eve II), GBA full speed runing KINGDOM HEARTHS (there is a trick: wen the game hangs on the first video, click RETURN button, then SAVE AND CLOSE, then launch the game again ) , and even PCE TURBO CD. If not this problem in the middle probably my last week could be one of the best of my life. I was not able to enjoy nothing due to this problem and the missing accesories (is embarrasing to be charging battery outside the unit).

Well from my side need to mention now the ODROID team acted very responsible , and even wen it was not their fault , but the TNT URUGUAY´s fault (NEVER SHIP USING TNT because they cash shipping costs twice: sender and receiver, this happenede to me with TNT URUGUAY.TNT Uruguay cash me 50 USD extra!) they assume the responsibility as sellers. But we decided together to donate the refunded money to one of the best developers for ODROID as well for other platforms

So , HARDKERNEL´s honor, 100% proof. But about TNT, avoid this company if you don´t want to have problems with your shipping. National postal services are cheaper and more accurated. (CORREO URUGUAYO i.e. is very reliable and cheap , not as TNT Uruguay)
